Dom Pedro V — Restaurant in Castelo de Vide

I had dinner two nights in a row at Dom Pedro's restaurant in Castelo de Video in November, 2017 while on my bicycle tour of Portugal. Outstanding food and service. I had the pork medallions one night and pork loin another night both dishes are enough for two people as it came with french fries (almost filled the plate) and rice as well as bread. I also had the Marques de Borba wine each night with dinner and highly recommend that wine..outstanding. Highly recommend...

We went in for lunch on a weekend and asked for the venison stew with chestnuts which was actually very good and very tasty. We also had the cabrito cachafrito, and that was actually very bad. One of the few options available if dining after 20:30 but be ready for a long wait to be seated and to get your food as the place is really busy and staff tend to be a bit overwhelmed.
