O Miguel — Restaurant in Castelo de Vide

There are not many options in Castelo de Vide, but this place was quite nice. It is not the cheapest but also not the most expensive, and the portion size and quality seems to be aligned with what you pay. The owner is friendly but he doesn't speak English (if you don't speak Portuguese/Spanish) try using Google translate to facilitate the conversation.

The atmosphere is typical of these type of restaurant. Nothing special, but also nothing negative to say about it. For its type and range, I find it quite good.

Chocos ( squid) was not very fresh I believe. Poorly fried. The steak was reasonable but with fries and rice made it not very appealing.

He cenado 2 veces en este viaje y el resumen, buena atención y cocina correcta tirando a buena. IMPORTANTE: 21:15 Cocina cerrada, no coge a nadie que llegue poco antes. Es pequeño t hay que ir pronto. El primer día pedí unos chocos grelhados y estaban muuuuuuy tiernos. Lo pedí con ensalada en vez de con la bomba de hidratos que tienen por costumbre en Portugal. El segundo día no tuve tanta suerte, pedí bacalao con salsa de coco y estaba muy seco y salado, conjunción habitual en algunas zonas del país. No lo desalan bien y aparte de quedar seco, pues salado también, lógicamente. Esta es mi guerra por Portugal cada verano, hay zonas que son incorregibles y, el problema lo tiene el comensal que es que no le gusta el bacalao, eso dicen. Bueno, creo que no han tenido la suerte de poder tomar un buen bacalao desalado y jugoso. Probamos también la pluma y el filete de jabalí, correctos, con grasilla y ese toque tiznao que se pasan un...
