Restaurante/Buffet "A Mo" — Restaurant in Castelo de Vide

For me this is the best restaurant in Castelo de Vide, for the following reasons: The friendliness of the owners, my Portuguese is not very good but they went out of their way to be helpful. Next, the food, which on the days I visited, was typical Alentejo fare, fish and pork for main course, fresh salad and fruit,olives, bread and good wine. Finally, value for money. The lunch is a self service buffet with ample choices and lots of it, plus red or white wine or juice, and coffee, all for 8 euros. This place is an absolute gem on the main road through Beira. The welcome from Teresa was warm and the smells of her fabulous buffet drifting in from the small but delightful restaurant were enticing to say the least. The food is locally sourced, cooked to perfection with, on the two nights we ate there, at least 5 hot dishes and several mouthwatering deserts. And did we mention the all inclusive price includes local wine, drink and eat as much as you like and you’ll keep coming...

Adorei! Adorei tudo! A comida é bem confeccionada e saborosa. Tem 3 pratos principais disponíveis, uma variedade grande de salada e de fruta. Comida e bebida às discrição, incluindo vinho tinto e verde. As entradas, as saladas, as frutas, os pratos principais, o queijos e até as azeitonas, tudo com qualidade. Tudo por 8€. Tem sala com lugares sentados no interior do piso térreo, tem outra sala no andar de cima e ainda um esplanada grande com sombras. Fica nas traseiras do bombeiros de castelo de vide, o que é uma excelente referência para quem procura o local. Tem estacionamento à porta. WiFi disponível e com boa cobertura. Na sala há uma TV gigantesca para momentos televisivos específicos. Fazem refeições para grupos pequenos e grandes. Há opções vegetarianas. E com tantos pontos positivos, a cereja no topo bolo é a forma descontraída e até familiar com que somos recebidos pelos proprietários, a D. Teresa e o seu marido.
