Epicura has all the ingredients for a fantastic craft brewery. They are experimenting with different styles and temper their brews well for balanced flavors. Their Belgian wit, sour, porter and IPA were solid. Recommend getting the tasting flight to see what you like. Everyone has a favorite style. Whatever floats your boat ya know?! There are no brewing laws outside of Germany folks. Let’s keep an open mind.

They also have fantastic pizza. They use the yeast utilized in the brewing process for their dough resulting in a light flavorful base for their pizza. The concept is still being developed but there are great bones for outstanding pizza. A wood fired oven would make that pizza absolutely slap. I recommend pairing their sour with one of their pizzas. Very close to the bridge leading into Coimbra, Epicura has a well-rounded draft list, as well as To-Go beers. My wife and I came here on a mellow Sunday for two beers and loved it. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about their beers.
