Went in for lunch. Didn't have a reservation, but there were barely any tables occupied, which makes sense since it's August and the city is pretty much empty. The server made a comment on this fact as if he had a full house. No one understood if he was cracking a joke or just being plain empty headed. We were a group of five, so they gave us a couple menus. The server was really pressing us to order for some reason. He was arguing a inflow of clients could come at anytime, so we should hurry up and order. He even came to ask us to return one of the menus cause of the potential clients that could come in at anytime. I was a bit baffled to be honest. And confused. It's peak August. No students in the student's city cause it's summer holidays, many residents of Coimbra are also on vacation and he's scared a basically dead city will suddenly flood a single restaurant....? Either way, the sushi was alright. The cuts were clean and the pieces held together nicely. The gyozas, skewers, shrimp tempura and spring rolls were pretty alright as well. However, the shrimp nigiris had a weird taste. It seemed like the shrimp, which was sitting at room temperature cooked, was going bad. Didn't quite smell beforehand, but it did taste a bit bitter which is not very good (don't think it was wasabi, although I didn't check). Other than that, it was an...
Read moreOkay listen, the lunch all you can eat deal is a great deal. However, I don’t believe they want you to eat all you can. They forgot two of our orders, were quite slow and seemed to actively want to discourage us from ordering more. At the end they pushed us a bit with “last round last round” even though if they do not have a round limit (it was only our third small one), they should not be this pushy. Writing stuff down was a bit of a hassle as they just took the pen and paper away from you after every order and you had to actively ask for it again and then wait for them to pick it back up. The quality of the food was good! We enjoyed the meal and despite the lacklustre service you can definitely get your moneys worth if you...
Read moreI’ve visited twice now and both times it was quite nice. The first time, I went alone and arrived right when they opened. I was able to order before the lunch rush began so I didn’t have to wait long for my food. The second time I came with a group of 4. The service was a bit slower. We were there for one hour and 45 minutes and I don’t think it was enough time for the full “all you can eat experience”. They were finally bringing out our final ordered items as we were leaving. The all you can eat lunch menu is €14 per person but does not include drinks or dessert. Still...
