Mr.Pizza — Restaurant in Coimbra

It was nice, went with my family, we were well received and given a seat, and with the corona virus pandemic, it was only normal for them to mark some seats as off limits for customers to create the social distancing rules. And with the cold winter we were glad to find a place that was opened for people that Christmas evening. They had variety of pizza, anyway as the Nigerian that I am, I kept looking for the one with enough pepper or a spicy hot pizza, hahaha, but anyway I also was interested in a good price. And before I forget the place was well decorated for the Christmas season with lights and flowers. And blue Christmas trees, so my family and I had time to take some pictures, while we waited for our order to arrive, and they had fridges for drinks, soft drinks were available, I did not check for other drinks. And more importantly is that I tried to pay with my ATM card but I was told they wanted cash only, that was strange because I was not informed when I was placing my order, usually I pay for everything with my card although there's is an ATM point just outside of the pizza place. Venho, por este meio, manifestar o meu desagrado em relação à vossa recente mudança para o espaço anteriormente ocupado pelo Café Moçambique.

O Café Moçambique tinha um enorme significado para a comunidade local, sendo um espaço emblemático, cheio de história e memórias para todos aqueles que o frequentavam. A sua ausência deixou um vazio difícil de preencher e sentimos que a identidade da nossa zona ficou profundamente afetada.

Compreendemos que mudanças são por vezes necessárias, mas acreditamos que a preservação de espaços com uma importância tão grande, tanto histórica como emocional, é essencial para manter a ligação à nossa cultura e património.

Gostaríamos, assim, de apelar à vossa sensibilidade para reavaliar esta mudança e, quem sabe, encontrar uma solução que permita o regresso do Café Moçambique, preservando um local tão especial para a comunidade.
