This was highly recommended on the fork, but unfortunately, it didn’t meet expectations. The menu was certainly geared towards instagram and TikTok edits as oppose to foodies. Nothing on the menu was ‘simple’, which is fine but neither was it well executed. All the pancake dishes tried far too hard to be different when actually, there is nothing wrong with normal pancake batter.
What disappointed me the most was when I asked for a plate of bread, salmon and eggs (all ingredients you can ‘add to your dish’), I got told I couldn’t order it like that, and if I wanted too I had to order it in a ‘bowl’ (a 16.99€ alternative). I am unsure why, because what I requested equalled the same price as most breakfast dishes. The member of staff immediately changed her tone. I ordered the strawberry pancakes as an alternative. On the photo, it had quite an attractive drop of their strawberry and rose sauce… however the member of staff delivered my plate, then decided to change my breakfast from a pancake plate to a pancake bath.
We ate our food as quickly as possible, paid, and went to look elsewhere for food. Really not worth the hassle. If you want extra followers on instagram with your cute flower blossom pancakes and flower shaped coffee mugs, this is the place. For any person (and I assume most who identify with this statement will be foodies) who wants flavour from traditional breakfast dishes, do not go here.
If you don’t like their weird concoctions of dishes, you don’t receive great service. In my opinion anyway! I have added a photo of how much sauce was there for reference compared to...
Read moreThe place is nice, I really liked the pinkish furniture and the cute little details. But I wasn’t happy with the service. The main waitress wasn’t very friendly; she seemed kinda pissed and definitely didn’t have the right attitude for working with people. I asked if I could have pancakes with maple syrup instead of peanut butter since I don’t like it. She said yes, but the pancakes came with peanut butter anyway. When I mentioned it, she looked surprised and told me they don’t even have maple syrup, just chocolate. I said that chocolate was fine, but then I noticed they charged an extra for the chocolate!! Food was good & well presented, but honestly, paying €28 for a bagel, pancakes, and two coffees in Faro is a bit too much. Plus I guess there isn’t a real kitchen, they basically cook at the bar counter, so the entrance door must stay always open otherwise the room gets full of smoke and smell… and the day I went was pretty cold and I was freezing inside. Well, I won’t be...
Read moreDon't usually write reviews for places I dine at but made an exception due to the excellent and quick service.
One of the unfortunately still few places where you can get vegan food in Faro and the menu will specify what is and isn't vegan. In addition, if you have any questions, like I did, you could ask the kind staff. My waiter whose name was André was able to quickly clear up some questions as well as make me a pumpkin spice latte whilst I waited for my meal to arrive. The drink was nice and warm which contrasted the chilly day (which frankly caught me by surprise since we're used to warmer climate lol) and the meal was nice fresh and filling. Overall, although as some say it was a bit pricey, I'd wager I got more than my money's worth and it's definitely a place worth checking out if you're vegan and wanna try something new, enjoy fresh food or really like cozy and chill vibes.
Also shout-out to whoever picked the playlist I really enjoyed most of the...
