Recently visited the Museu Regional do Algarve in Faro and it's truly a hidden gem. Though it might be smaller in size, it's packed with rich insights into the region's heritage. While the staff didn't speak English, their smiles and genuine kindness spoke volumes. It's a testament that language barriers can easily be transcended with heartfelt gestures. A must-visit when in Faro! Entry is €2 cash only.

Nice little museum about how people used to live in the Algarve. There are some paintings, tools and depictions of how people dressed and what their homes looked like. For the symbolical price of €1,50 it's nice to make a short stop here

A small but interesting museum, about the history and culture of people from Faro . Worth a visit I especially enjoyed the art exhibition by Carlos Porfirio and his surrealist interpretation of folklore paintings.

It is a shame that this museum would only accept cash. I travel frequently and rarely come across places now that will only accept cash, especially for a museum or a typical tourist place to visit. It may be worth the visit as less than 2 Euros or so per person but we could not visit as we do not carry much cash anymore.

The kind lady on the front desk does not speak any English but tried her best to explain what she could. Fortunately being able to understand some Spanish, we could make out what...

If you dont have time and opportunity to visit actual algarve traditional homes, I think this is very good to get to know their traditional look. It also had a great photo exhibit of traditional arts. I would just add an audio guide with more info on the presented pieces and maybe a part...
