Worst food ever!! My burguer had a HUGE coal ball glued to the meat, and outside of the burguer, there were several drops of BLOOD on the bread. My bread was all red!! (And no, it wasnt from the meat on my burguer). My french fries looked and tasted 2 days old!! I cant, for the life of me imagine why you would serve the most horrible and unfresh fries Ive seen in my life. This should be illegal. Just serve fresh food for christ sake. This is the first and last time I'll ever buy food there. What a waste of money!!!
edit Dear owner, i do not know the word for "Prego especial", but you definitly sell pregos. I am not complaining about your restaurant, which i am sure is lovely, I am complaining about the establishment in Madeira Shopping. If I had not ordered it from Glovo, and seen what they were serving me before hand, I certainly wouldnt have paid, and asked for the complaints book.
I will not be removing my review, because never in my life have I been served such old food. I never have problems with other restaurants. This is the truth and people have a right to know it. Dont ever order...
Read moreI’m so glad we found this place! Let me break it down: Seafood — We’ve searched all over Madeira for great octopus and prawns, and so often we were disappointed — either by the taste or tiny portions. Here, the quality and portion size were perfect. The price-to-quality ratio is truly 10/10. Meat — My husband has tried meat dishes in at least ten places around Madeira, and he said this was the best one. He asked for medium-well and got exactly what he wanted — juicy meat with crispy fries. He was genuinely happy. Coffee — We love strong coffee, and it’s always hard to explain what exactly we mean. But the waiter understood right away and was happy to help. The coffee was absolutely perfect. Service — We want to say a huge thank you to our waiter, Kumar — not only a great professional but such a kind and warm person. I made sure to write down his name so others would know! He gave us service worthy of a 5-star hotel — polite, easygoing, and always smiling.
We’ll definitely be coming back — we’ve already planned our next...
Read moreOverall an ok experience. Food varies from surprisingly good (legumes) to very unpleasant ("Hamburger" with strips of the cheapest cuts of beef that you find at the butcher. Like the stuff that usually goes into the mincer and it absolutely should if something is called a Hamburger). Service was terrible. First struggled with opening the bottle of wine, then filled the glass to like 1/2 for tasting, then gave this glass after tasting to a different person, didn't apologize when we handed the glass over again and proceeded to fill about 3/4 of the bottle into just two glasses.
Also, while we did reserve online via "the fork" with an announced 30% discount, the service, when asked, wouldn't give us this discount and also no explanation why the discount was denied, so we paid the full price. Which isn't super high (12 euros for the "Hambuger" for example) but still way off to what others...
