The food? Absolutely divine my perfectly crisp pizzas—was a testament to authentic Italian craftsmanship and my wife’s chicken with a rich creamy peanut sauce was spot on. The Ingredients tasted fresh, flavors were bold yet balanced, and presentation was elegant without being pretentious.

What truly elevated the evening was the service. Despite a short wait for our table, the staff went above and beyond—our waiter even brought complimentary drinks to those waiting, a gesture that spoke volumes about their commitment to hospitality. All I need to add is...

Had a booking at 2:00pm for 7 people . 3 children and 4 adults. They gave us a table of 6 so we asked for an extra chair and I was left WITHOUT any cutlery. We asked as a starter bruschetta (it came raw) and carpaccio. We didn’t have plates or cutlery to eat our starter with.

We ordered 4 pizzas and a T-bone steak that took more that 2 hours to arrive. 2 of the pizzas came raw and completely uneatable. The steak was ok but could be better. Even after returning the 2 bad pizzas, they STILL charged us. We had to get the manager to give us a refund because We weren’t going to pay for something that we don’t even eat.

Alongside our food we also ordered 2 cokes and a sangria. The coke which should take less than 2 minutes to get from the fridge and serve room at least 20 minutes. “Maybe they were just busy,” this is not the reason there were only 2 people inside us and a couple so there was DEFINITELY enough staff.

We got there later on evening , our way to Night Market to Funcal ...restaurants was almost empty. Just two tables with people . Got noticed & seated almost immediately. But then waited quite long for either of two serves finally come and take a drink o food order .I was ready to leave , than young man finally game to take an order . My husband ordered a Chicken . It was served with some kind of peanut sauce . Sauce/gravy was flavorful but chicken was totally un-edible ! Not sure if it was freezer burned or boiled in water & died in natural causes , but that chicken breast was dry , tastless and spongy , even they had over flown it with gravy , it was super dry to try to cut it or do anything with it . Absolutely the worst "frangu" we have ever tasted / try to eat .Sweet potatoes were fried - I am guessing , because all we could taste was oil/ greases , didn't taste like a Sweet...
