Elliott's — Restaurant in Lagoa

Trying to avoid Brit-abroad fare is often so much harder than acquiescing to being overtly seen as a tourist but Carvoeiro does have more than its fair share of good restaurants. To therefore fall into the family run business that is Elliott's was a pleasant surprise especially given its proximity to Centro. We all chose dishes we really had wanted from early-ish first looks at the website (the existence of which put them ahead of the game) and we weren't disappointed. We visited Elliott's on 29/10/24. Amazing food and excellent service in a beautiful little restaurant. Proper comfy dining chairs and tables that were tiled. Chicken strips were gorgeous and the batter was probably the most light and crispy I've ever had. The flaked salt cod in cheese sauce was amazing and so tasty, the seasoning was perfect. Lastly the chocolate brownie with orange sorbet was delicious! My wife had prawns to start, then salmon with rice and a crème brulé to finish and my daughter had squid for starter, pork escalope (schnitzel) with fries and crème brulé. All of it was superb. What a place! During our holiday in early May we actually visited Elliot’s twice as once just wasn’t enough! The menu and food experience was comforting yet still a high class meal and service! My absolute favourite were the coconut prawns with pineapple and chilli dipping sauce! so so delicious!

My partner fell in love with the cherry bake well dessert! and I absolutely adored the chocolate brownie!
