Restaurante Organic — Restaurant in Lagoa

This is a fantastic little cafe, only open for around 3 months when I visited. It caught my eye the first day I arrived in Carvoeiro and I didn't get a chance to visit until the day I left but I'm so glad I made the effort to stop by for a late breakfast before heading home.

It's perhaps at the pricier end for the town but there is no question in my mind that it's worth it. I opted for the the yoghurt, granola, fruit and chia seeds, whilst my wife went for the organic toast with avocado, egg and tomato. We tried each other's food and both had the wide-eyed "oh my god that tastes amazing" moment of silence that indicates we both chose well. I couldn't believe how much flavour the food had and it was beautifully presented. You'll see from my photos we also had a fresh orange juice, tea and smoothie - all excellent.

The staff were charming and friendly and couldn't be more caring and hospitable. They also spoke excellent English, so no language issues if your Portuguese isn't polished. I had such high hopes for this restaurant but found it to be something of a let down 👎 It's located at the top of the main road out of Carvoeiro, about 10 mins walk from the Beach. There is no Menu outside, so to find out what they serve you have to go inside and ask for a Menu (after waiting 5 mins to get a Waiter's attention to finally get hold of one 😕). Once seated, we had to wait nearly 10 mins to order food (and it wasn't busy) 💤 Food arrived relatively quickly, which was good 👍 The Scrambled Eggs, Bacon and Mushrooms tasted nice although the Egg wasn't really 'scrambled' (more of an Omelette that had been stirred up) but it was nice 👍 The major disappointment was the Iced Latte - it was tasteless! 🤢 It was as if they had made the Coffee, then diluted it 10 parts water, to 1 part Coffee, it was just Bad 👎 whatever you order, just avoid this 👎 The Beets Smoothie was quite good (although half of the drink was Ice, which felt a bit of a Scam 😕) Price wise it's not bad. Hopefully they will improve some of these things and it will make it a great place...

Restaurante Organic delivered an outstanding experience that perfectly demonstrates how healthy eating and exceptional taste can beautifully coexist. The açaí was absolutely incredible, but what truly stood out was hands down the best salad we had during our entire trip.

You can genuinely feel the care and attention that goes into every step of their process - from the thoughtful menu ideation to the careful selection of ingredients, meticulous food preparation, and warm, attentive service.

This is one of those special places that stays with you long after you leave - especially if you're someone who values conscious eating. The experience at Organic reinforces the beautiful truth that eating well and eating healthy can and should go hand in hand.
