What a little gem of a place. The bartender Paolo is a sweetheart. I was there solo and he made sure I felt, and was, safe. Not that he needed to do so. Everyone was so kind and lovely. I am from Boston so wandered in for a quick beer ironically (big Irish community and many a pubs). I ended up staying for several hours. Paolo and other Portuguese locals were amazing to speak to about their Portugal life and experiences as well as educated more on the history of the country. Many local regulars and many regulars who visit annually. One group of Germans who were there for the 20th year in a row. Great music. Futbol games on the television. Cozy atmosphere. Never felt so at home at a bar. Highly recommend. And tell Paolo I say hello...

First visited 27 years ago when a couple who were West Ham fans owned it. Fast forward the 27 years and its still the same even in Name other than ownership has changed. Inside the bar is basically cut into granite rock so a nice affect. Aircon is a wellcome addition to cool off also.
Great for sports with all the games on and the Brazilian barman was so friendly and great company.
Will hope to visit again but I won't leave it as long...
