During my recent visit to Nigeria, I had the pleasure of discovering Pearl Food Trailer, and I can confidently say it was my favorite dining experience in the entire country. Tucked away like a hidden treasure, this food trailer completely blew me away with its amazing flavors, welcoming vibe, and top-notch service.
From the very first bite, I was hooked. The menu is full of delicious, freshly made options, with a perfect balance of traditional Nigerian flavors and creative twists. I tried the suya wraps, jollof rice with grilled chicken, and a side of fried plantains — everything was absolutely packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. The spices were bold but balanced, and you could tell the ingredients were fresh and handled with care.
What really stood out to me was the atmosphere. Even though it's a food trailer, Pearl delivers the kind of warmth and energy you'd expect from a full restaurant. The staff were incredibly friendly and made me feel like a local, not just a tourist. They took time to explain dishes, ask how I liked the food, and genuinely cared about my experience.
If you're visiting Nigeria — especially if you're looking for authentic, mouthwatering street food with a touch of excellence — Pearl Food Trailer is an absolute must. I only wish I had discovered it sooner so I could’ve eaten there more often. This place is unforgettable. Thank you, Pearl, for making my trip even...
Read moreStumbled upon this precious little gem tucked away at the back of the marina, and what a delightful find it was! The menu is compact but perfectly formed, featuring fresh oysters, cheese and meat boards, and some chorizo, all complemented by a thoughtful selection of drinks. The prices are very reasonable, which is a pleasant surprise given the quality on offer.
Service was nothing short of excellent—attentive and friendly, making our casual lunch feel like a special treat. The place is also wonderfully dog-friendly, with our furry friend welcomed warmly and even provided with fresh water.
Perfect for a laid-back lunch, this spot combines great food, superb service, and a relaxed marina backdrop. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a casual bite in a charming...

To be fair, I'm not a huge fan of 'food trucks,' but they have a sweet little spot in the marina, and it really is an excellent value. 13€ for 6 oysters, and 23€ for 6 oysters and a bottle of wine. They have other items, like prawns and cheese platters, as well. All look beautiful.
On this day, the oysters were super briney, and the minionette that accompanied tasted equally salty. It just wasn't pleasant, although the oysters were fresh.
Service wasn't extremely warm, but was friendly enough, and I guarantee that most will appreciate this spot. We would return for something else on the menu, and...
