A colleague of mine told me he hadn't eaten Piglet in eight years, this was when we were taking a trip southward from Figueira-da-Foz. I told him we couldn't go northward to Mealhada to eat roasted baby pigs. He frowned. And he plead. So there we went, southward, to find a place where he could eat baby pigs. We found it. Downtown, historical center Leiria. And how glad I was that we went. The place smells of cleanliness and shines modernity. The deco is a well achieved mesh of rustic and modern furniture, a well placed small stage at the corner leaves you wondering of the kind of evenings you can have in this place. The waitresses were fantastic, attentive and polite, not snobs. Friendly faces indeed. And the Pig? It was well roasted and generously served in black cutlery and shining silverware.
