Taberna Café Caphe — Restaurant in Leiria

I was really disappointed with my experience here. I don’t usually mind waiting a bit longer and paying more, as long as the food quality justifies it—but that wasn’t the case.

After a 30+ minute wait, my appetizer finally arrived, and it was underwhelming at best since it felt really artificial and maybe microwaved. I then waited over 30 minutes more for my main dish, which I nearly canceled because it was taking so long. When it finally arrived, it was another letdown: I ordered the pork, but it was incredibly dry and lacking in flavor.

Amazing steak restaurant in downtown Leiria! This restaurant was an incredible treat. The service was attentive and friendly. The location just across the river from the bus station is very central. Even though the restaurant is known for its fine steaks (we had the picanha and it was outstanding), the menu also serves plenty of fish and seafood options. The portions are very generous. The food is really-really bad. 15-20 eur per dish and the quality of food is disgusting. We had 3 different dishes (octopus, steak, francesinha) and all of them were not good.
