Break Brunch Lisbon — Restaurant in Lisbon

An honest American tourist review: Walked by Break looking for a nice breakfast as the place we originally planned to eat at was not open when expected. We sat down and we’re greeted with smiles. Ordered two cappuccinos that were well made. Here are food items we ordered: Croissant w/ salmon and cream cheese found a small bone in, but not a show stopper; fresh pastry and fish) Florentine eggs delicious spinach and perfectly cooked poached egg on freshly toasted bread; nice, refreshing salad on the side Marcella toast tasty but not as much flavor as anticipated; meal needed either a sauce or some type of moisture added, felt slightly dry Pineapple, ginger, mint juice refreshing and fresh, recommend Overall, we had a really good experience. There were just small things that didn’t give it five stars but I’m sure if we come by again and order some new menu items, our minds will chance. I went for brunch hoping to catch a quick meal before going to the aquarium. Little did I know what I was in for. The environment is cute and all, but the lady at the front was rude to me and my boyfriend. It was clear that she does not appreciate her guests. I went up to order and she told me I had to sit and wait. The food took almost an hour to be ready. Granted, there’s only one lady in the kitchen cooking, but still it is not that hard to cook two scrambled eggs and there are only 5 tables in the whole place. The eggs were bland, but the sausage, mushrooms, and bacon were good. My orange juice and latte also took a long time. I asked for a hot tea to go and she forgot and gave me it when I left with almost half...

Do not expect to come as a couple and eat together, unless eating the same thing then you might get lucky.

It's a cute restaurant with a very small quantity of staff, and with this size means it can get very warm inside.

The Eggs Benedict did not come with ham, so it's really just poached eggs with hollandaise sauce.

The fresh 'pineapple lemon ginger mint juice' was mostly water with a very weak flavour, and my wife had finished her meal 10 minutes before my meal even arrived.

Our environmental souls enjoyed the metal straws being served with the drinks, a nice change from plastic straws!
