Visited the charming “Let’s Pastrami” nestled in the heart of Lisbon, a fresh addition to the city’s dining scene at just three months old. This quaint spot impresses with its focused mono-concept, celebrating Italian-style cured meats through an inventive sandwich menu.
With seating for 20-25 guests, the ambiance is intimate, featuring minimalistic decor that feels bright and open, thanks to large windows that welcome the Lisbon sun.
The variety of pastrami sandwiches, available on either sourdough or brioche, is delightful.
I opted for the “Kimchi Reuben,” intrigued by its promise of spice. However, the sandwich, though flavorful, didn’t live up to its spicy billing—the heat of the kimchi subdued by the creaminess of the cheese, resulting in a less-than-perfect match.
In contrast, a taste of my friend’s classic “Reuben” showcased the simplicity of pastrami done right, making it a standout choice.
Texture-wise, the sandwiches impressed with their crispy, crunchy exteriors and juicy interiors, and the portion sizes are generous, easily shareable among friends. The pricing is reasonable, offering good value for the quality and quantity provided. The drink selection is equally robust, featuring soft drinks, eclectic beers, cocktails, and wines to complement your meal.
Service at “Let’s Pastrami” added to the positive experience. The staff was friendly and attentive, providing detailed explanations of the menu items, which enhanced our dining experience.
Despite the slight mismatch with the kimchi in my sandwich, I highly recommend “Let’s Pastrami” for anyone looking for a fulfilling meal in a cozy setting. A definite five-star experience with the promise of returning for those perfectly crafted...
Read moreI found this place on Instagram, and I’ve been following them for more than a year, but I didn’t have a chance to visit it until now. Finally, on Saturday evening (you know, dinner time), I was taking part in some activities near this place. It was a no-food event, so I was really hungry!
Luckily, when we arrived, they had a table for two available. First, I want to talk about their chairs. I always have lots of stuff in my hands: water, a bag, a hat, a phone, and so on. It’s really hard to organize everything when you're eating outside. But here — can you imagine? — they have chairs with a built-in wardrobe function! That’s amazing, and thank you for that! :)
We ordered two different sandwiches: one with beef, caramelized onions, pickles, and maybe cheese; the second one with turkey, cheese, and coleslaw. Sorry, I’m too lazy to check the ingredients, and honestly, it doesn’t matter what was inside 😂 The most important thing is that all of it gives you an unreal taste — like the taste of the mother of all sandwiches.
I’m writing this while I’m full, but for these sandwiches, I could always find some space...
Read moreThe food was pretty good. For someone who has never tried it its worth a shot, for the experience. I wasnt mindblown or anything like that, its just a good sandwich. The negative sides were the price, it was quite pricy, we paid 12 for one sandwich and lemonade, which we had to divide as a couple to be cheaper, and the bathrooms were very and i mean, VERY dark. They tried to make it look aesthetic woth some leds but they overdid it making it unconfortable, i had to bring my flashlight inside so i could see where to flush the toilet etc. Overall its not bad, but for the price i wont be going there much, since in lisbon there are so many other alternatives. It was good as a one time thing for me and...
