My boyfriend and I visiting from USA decided to stroll through Downtown Lisboa, Portugal on our last evening here, we stumbled upon amazing aromas, music, smiles, laughter where locals and tourist could eat, drink, and laugh together giving it a real community feel, & welcoming spot! We allowed Miles to pick both our dishes and they were to die for! Mark & I tried beer for the first time at Vesuviano’s as all the locals seem to greatly enjoy it! May I say my LORD was the Salmone Ravioli and Funghi & Tartufo Ravioli so flavorful, simple yet had a complexity of flavors that you taste in every bite. Fresh, tasty, light but leaving you full for the evening. If we didn’t stop here on our last night in Lisboa then we would have made every excuse to go back everyday to try something new & then start at the beginning of the menu again! Coming from the states where Olive Garden is considered Italian, and “real” dishes prepared cost around $50 where here 15€ max and you’re salivating with every bite- just doesn’t compare. Every bite had me dancing along to the music in pure enjoyment. The owners love what they do and that trickles down to those who eat here! We have never felt more at home & felt like we were apart of the community. Vesuviano’s please be open next time I visit Portugal, I must bring my friends and family here on our next trip! I recommend you...
Read moreOkay, It was our first visit to Lisbon and we were looking for an Italian restaurant near our hotel area. Vesuviano popped up so we decided to go there.
When we got there we found out that this place only offered Ravioli, something we were not very familiar with. Then the owner (I hope I remember and asked your name!) was very kind to us. We told him we were not sure what to get and asked him for his recommendation.
He told us to try the Salmon one also his favorite Zucca but with tomato sauce instead of creamy sauce. I asked him whether Zucca would be too sweet since it got some pumpkin and he explained that it won’t be sweet in-fact it would balance the taste. So I agreed to order Zucca.
Oh love, when we tried it we were very pleased and happy! I personally enjoyed mine as the sweet from pumpkin, sour from fresh tomato, the fillings of the ravioli, and how soft the ravioli were a perfect score for me.
For Drink he also recommended to try the Italian soft drink, and surely we enjoyed it since it was fresh and not too sweet.
At the end they gifted us with a free tiramisu! What a delight it was!
Overall, we enjoyed everything they served. It was a very memorable moment for us. Thank you for making our trip wonderful in Lisbon. Greetings from...

Wandered around from pink street looking for a place to eat. Had finally given up and decided to take the tram back to the hotel when I caught a whiff of this restaurant. When I poked my head in I was sold immediately by the smell from the kitchen. The owner greeted us and explained the dishes and we were hooked.
The focaccia was an excellent appetizer followed by the best ravioli I'd ever had - and I'd just spent three days in Italy prior. Hands down better than anything I ate there.
The tiramisu was too good to pass up even though I was full, I knew it was going to be good based on the meal I just had and I'm glad I got it. It was the best tiramisu I've had anywhere.
Although the dining room is something straight out of a Nashville cafeteria, it's got a nice family atmosphere to it. Largely in part on our visit by the owner's pep talk to the kitchen as he was leaving for the day. It was nice to see a guy treat his guys good like that. Very respectful.
Some may call it a little pricey, but the flavour is worth it.
Highly recommend going.
