!!This review is only aimed at one of the dishes, and from one single visit!! Me and my wife both felt ill later that evening and then had problems with bathroom visits the whole morning after. First off, the friendly staff and nice interior gives a good atmosphere. Food was served well within time, and aesthetically, the food looks great. I do not have alot to complain about the taste of the food we ordered other than that the noodles in this particular dish was very slimey. I also did not like the insane amount of dried chilis just laying on top of the fish. The broth had a rich flavour, but still did not hide, or cover for the negative part which i will share next. I could not believe the amount of whole pepper-corns that had been added to this dish. Completely ludacris.. No one will say "i like chewing on pepper-corns". With this the whole enjoyment of eating the food was gone. Already destroyed my pellet by chewing on several of the corns. Had to spend half the time picking out all of the black pepper-corns and then had to leave a large amount of the food instead of bringing a goodie bag back home. -I was told this is traditional way of cooking this dish. And they are probably right. But everybody with even a little experience of cooking knows that then you also need to let the peppers to dissolve before serving. And im not talking about just a few. There was probably 30 of them on my plate after only 1 serving. Cant even imagine how much they used in...
Read moreThe best hot pot in Lisbon! Not only you can choose half of it to be spicy (low, medium or all hell breaks loose spicy) but the broth itself is to lock your fingers. You can tell that this broth took hours to make and it feels amazing in your mouth. That alone is enough for you to try it. It also has great and a varied range of toppings: several protein sources (shrimp, lamb, tofu, steak) and vegetables/pasta. The cherry on the top is the friendly service you get on the side. This restaurant belongs to a very nice and warm couple that not only explains what this dish is all about and how to properly eat it if it's your first time but it also comes several times throughout your meal to make sure if everything is to your liking. Definitely a place to visit...
Read moreAsian here, had hotpot all my life. Not a great place. The place was run by a teenage girl who kept chatting by screaming swear words the entire time we were eating, and when we asked the price she whipped out a notepad to “draw” us a graph, like we’re some idiots. Then she was like, “just pay, it’s cheap”. Portions were very small, too. We would have been fine to stay longer and pay for more, but the customer service was so bad we couldn’t stay longer.
There was one young man working there who was professional and kind though,...
