The bar is violating the noise regulations every day, incapable of telling their customers to go inside the bar after 11PM. THIS IS A RESIDENTIAL AREA!!! It is not OK to hang out on the street in big groups, after 11pm or midnight! People have to go to work and not everyone works during night time.
Until now the staff promised several times, after kind requests, to take care of the situatiuation and tell people, but effectively NEVER informs their customers to be either inside the bar or leave the street after 11pm. They hang out till the wee hours even afte the bar has closed, and even when the staff sees groups standing around, they don't say anything. Blatantly violating local noise regulations.
I believe a lot of the guests are not aware of this, but the staff is, and after first saying they take care of it, now they come up with excuses and simply false statements. Especially the girl with the glasses is passive aggressive and gaslighting, turning everything around when asked to inform their guests about the local regulations. Noise regulations are there to protect the rights of the neighbors.
Talk about setting a good example for the Queer scene. They misreably failed. Completely disrespecting the neighborhood and local laws. Seemingly still being in their teenager rebel phase...
Read moreWhat an incredible night at Drama Bar! đ The show featured two fabulous drag queens who absolutely lit up the stage, followed by a lovely DJ that kept the vibe alive. Drinks were fairly priced, and the staff were kind, welcoming, and genuinely seemed to enjoy being there which makes all the difference.
But what truly makes this place special is the crowd. Thereâs a warmth and openness here that I havenât felt in many other European cities. As someone who has visited quite a few queer bars around Europe, I can honestly say this is one of the most joyful and comfortable spaces Iâve ever experienced.
Also shoutout to the sweet photographer who made the night even more memorable!
Sadly, the show had to end 30 minutes early due to a neighborhood complaint, but that didnât dampen the spirit. Keep going strong â weâre with you. The show must go on! đ
Drama Bar has given me one more reason to return to Lisbon. Canât wait...
