i really wish i liked this place as much as a lot of the reviews say, but if you are planning on coming to this hostel please just be aware of how extremely dirty this place is. the pictures that you see will give you a better idea. first of all, the staff are all young people who just want to party and don’t really “work.” they don’t clean up after people, and i understand that hostels are normally not the cleanest but this was crossing the line. im almost positive im sick from the black spots (black mold perhaps?) that were on the ceilings, walls, curtains, etc. i think the most that they do is maybe sweep. some people that were staying in my room left a bunch of trash, food, and clothes on the floor and nothing was prepared or cleaned up for the next people that came to sleep there. and when they do come and prepare the beds, they climb up on it with their shoes. theres always hair, trash, dirty clothes lying around in public spaces and was never cleaned up (maybe they clean it up after a few days but only until you let them know, and even then they kinda just throw it to the corner). none of the usb plugs work and idk if it was for everyone but for me i was by the window bottom bunk and my phone barely just reached the bed. by reception, theres a sign that says quiet hours start after 11pm and the common room closes at 2am but they kick you out of the common room strictly at either 11 or 12am. the breakfast in the morning consists of toast, jelly/butter, cereal, and hot tea but its mostly water. i will say i appreciate that they have different events every night to gather people. also the water pressure is great but thats about it.

we stayed for 5 nights in june, and overall it was quite a pleasant experience. the staff was super welcoming, we mostly interacted with sam from reception who was really kind and helped us out a lot. overall, all of the reception staff was awesome :) you can rent out towels for 2€ each which was great, and there's a small kitchen with a stove, oven, fridge+freezer and microwave. there's utensils and pretty much anything you could need which was nice. the only issue we had was with breakfast- they offered bread, butter, jam, biscuits and cups with a spoonful of yogurt+granola. it's fair enough due to the low prices, but it being served in the kitchen means you can't cook your own instead until past like 12pm, which isn't great if you're trying to save money 💔 but this is a small issue which only affected us cos we were trying to save money on food lol generally would recommend! especially if youre extroverted and wanna meet new people :)

If you are going to be drunk 24/7 it’s acceptable, but otherwise this hostel is disgusting. Moldy showers, trash everywhere you look, alcohol stains on the floor, moldy ceilings, dirt in the AC, clumsy and little rooms(I couldn’t even open my locker because of how many beds were in my room, the staff behaved well and they offered me another room for the next night), loud people, came around 0:00 to get ready to party, another group came at 3:00 and the first ones came back like 5:00, so no sleep at all. The next day I left. Nothing like the pictures, only clean space was the lobby. Only postive thing was the location. Most of the reviews must be fake, idk how can someone say something good about this place.

The GSpot Hostel is an interestingly themed hostel which has an emphasis on social activities. Each night there is something for hostel-goers to participate in for free if they choose to. The hostel also has a bar which is affordable, including serving pizza. Breakfast is provided at no extra cost, which is something rare for a hostel, albeit simple (toast, jam, yoghurt, muffins, grains etc) and also a free breakfast drink. The rooms can hold up to 10 people, however our room was never at full capacity. The rooms themselves are clean and well kept, however the need for a window to be open all night for fresh air and breeze means the lively city of Lisboa can be heard all night. The walls are also thin, so you can hear other guests going to facilities. The toilets are with the showers in the same room, and are dated. Some toilets had sliding seats and some showers looked like they needed a face lift. Our floor had three shower and toilet rooms with limited hooks to hang clothes and not many had anywhere for soap in the shower itself. Outside of the showers there are two sinks with mirrors, which can mean space is at a premium. The location is in-between the pubs and restaurants for all night partying. Overall I'd recommend this hostel, especially for solo or social couples looking to meet friends. It feels secure and safe, just...

Before you reply with the obvious "it says in our policies that we don’t do refunds", it’s also says on your description that you only allow people from 18 to 40 years old, WHICH IS A TOTAL LIE!

I really did not enjoy my stay for different reasons: 1. The floor smells like pee everywhere. Change the soap ffs. 2. Only old people. Either change your description or stick to it. I was awaked the whole week by old people snoring. General ambiance really sucked. 3. Management needs to be replaced. Stupid rules like "no cheese and meat before 9:30" like??? I paid for breakfast give me the entire breakfast I paid for. 4. No rules of silence in the dorms. Put a sign with rules because roommates are stupid : one girl took a call at 7ham in the room ; one started to watch some fckg instagram reels full volume for an hour ; and one didn’t deactivated his notifications and actually put his phone on a part of the bed very close from my ears.

Staff was actually nice but the manager avoided my refund ask for the whole week and never contacted me by himself. I really felt scammed from this hostel honestly. Hated my stay because of Gspot and had to actually pass the week in another hostel to find some friends that weren’t fckg...
