I would have never come here if it were not for the strong recommendation of a Nepalese waitress I met (at another restaurant). I asked her where to have authentic momo dumplings and this was the first place on her list.
Love Lisbon has a nice small outdoor seating area and the inside reveals a tacky sports bar that got me strangely nostalgic for Asia :) It was complete with the Nepal flag behind the bar and a picture of the mountain ranges in Nepal (I believe might be Annapurna or Everest) on the wall. I was told they have live music after 8pm.
Love Lisbon also has unassumingly good food.
The staff here are all from Nepal. They were friendly, pleasant and polite. I ate very early (6pm) so the place was still empty and the food came quickly.
The waitress recommended I try the Chicken Chhoila which is newali spicy grilled chicken. It really was SPICY with a mix of flavours. I could taste the ginger, garlic, coriander and raw onion. Slightly too salty to eat on its own, probably because like most asian food it was meant to be complemented with rice or bread (but I didn’t order any).
I really wanted momos in the warm soup like I had enjoyed in Nepal before and it was not on the menu but the waitress knew what I wanted hooray!!
The portion was more than substantial - 10x dumplings packed with minced chicken).
It arrived piping hot, tasty and full of spices. The soup was not too spicy if you are worried, and I could taste the cumin, coriander and other spices. It was tasty, savoury and moreish. Comfort food for sure.
Of course this can’t be compared to homemade momos which I have been fortunate enough to try, but they are pretty good and comparable to what you can get in Nepal. It definitely has the taste of Asia! I would order it again. I am looking forward to trying other dishes too when I am next there.
I also recommend coming here with friends as it is the kind of casual place good for groups and sharing food over music, laughs and drinks.
Thumbs up. Thank you...
Read moreTerrible service experience. We came at 9:15 pm, on the later side, but were never told how slow service would be because of dinner rush. As we were seated and waited, we see people who came significantly later than us getting their dishes and drinks.
At 10:35 pm, I finally asked the server for the manager and questioned where our food was. She let us know it would be 2 more minutes and there is delays because they want to bring everything at once, including our appetizers. She repeated multiple times that this is “completely normal” for them because of dinner rush and tried to convince me that I shouldn’t have expected anything better. It took speaking with the manager and letting her know that we are willing to leave and just cancel the order, for our food to FINALLY come out.
I can understand the rush, but not letting your very hungry customers know that their food won’t come out for over an hour is ridiculous. We would’ve never sat down here if we knew we’d be starving for so long. There are 100 better Nepali restaurants in Lisboa than this one. It’s a shame because the other positive reviews made me really excited to try Love Lisbon and experience the live music. The only positive thing I can say is that the manager gave us a malai kofta and rice on the house to make up for their bad service.
My advice, take yourself down the street to Punjabi Dhaba or literally anywhere else. You’ll definitely experience less second hand smoke, noise pollution from screaming kids, and drunk men stumbling out needing help from staff to leave the property.
Oh, and the food was pretty average too. Chicken 65 was decent, but definitely don’t recommend the Love...

Love Lisbon Restaurant & Bar truly lives up to its name — we fell in love with the place. My two friends and I went there one evening without any big expectations, but we left feeling like we had discovered a real hidden gem. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm smiles, friendly service, and a cozy atmosphere filled with colorful lights and great music in the background.
We started with a few appetizers to share, and everything tasted fresh, balanced, and clearly homemade — you can tell they really care about quality. For the main dishes, my friends ordered Chicken Tikka Masala with naan bread and Pad Thai, while I went for the fried chicken with fries. And wow — what a meal! The Tikka Masala was perfectly seasoned, the naan soft and freshly baked, and the Pad Thai had just the right mix of sweetness, spice, and tang. My fried chicken was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and the fries were spot on.
We also had a few beers and cocktails from their promotion menu (6€ for well-made drinks — a real bargain in Lisbon!). The whole vibe was relaxed, friendly, and genuinely enjoyable. We ended up staying for hours, just talking and having a great time.
In short: amazing food, fantastic service, and very fair prices. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a cozy night out with friends or simply some of the best food in Lisbon. We’ll definitely be...
