Dosa Dosa - Martim Moniz — Restaurant in Lisbon

The staff is really nice but the food is dissapointing. It was 14eur for a thali and the taste, quality and variety was not very authentic. One curry was just boiled potato, and the main dish barely had any paneer. We were really surprised that they didn't even have pickle. We took an Uber to come down to the restaurant and were surprised at the prices since the thali costs the same in Paris at an established restaurant like Saravana Bhavan.

I hate giving a bad review because they were genuinely good people at the restaurant. However am pretty dissapointed since a lot of the reviews seem paid, and the 9eur Thali advertised by them is actually pretty limited and only 2 items and I ended up paying extra(14) for the full Thali.

One the bright side, the roti and Nan...

We were in Lisbon, Portugal last month and was trying to find a good place to have our dinner within walkable distance from our hotel. Have to say we got very lucky in our search, found this gem of a place "Indian Thali". it was altogether an exceptional experiance. The food was amazing. They started off with their mini complimentary mango Lassi and from there on it was pure delight. The beef dish (Beef Ularthiyathu) was recommended by our server and was a hit. Craving it now. The friendly environment of the place made us feel right at honw. Have to give kudos to the very delightful owner and his attentive and charming staff for making our dinner memorable. Will recommend this place for all the fans of Indian cuisine and for people who wants to try it for...

Indian is my fav, been to many restaurants in the US and India. This is my first in Europe. It's possibly the best one yet bc they're the only ones that can customize meals to be Jain, the Indian religion that observes no "Tamasic" ingredients (per Ayurveda) which are negative energy foods: basically nightshades (onion, garlic, mushroom etc). FYI on India flights if they offer Jain options, it's healthiest. Vegetarian & vegan options. Warmed carrot halva dessert is perfect. Pleasant seating outside under large trees shade, for the unpleasant Portugal summer heat. Very nice server. However, disappointed in white sugar for dessert instead of much nutrient rich Jaggery. Profits over health....
