Barbearia Oliveira Rossio — Local services in Lisbon

Recently moved to Lisbon, and looking for a barber. I was recommended this place by Reddit, and I wanted to love it - but i’m afraid to say it’s been one of the worst haircuts I’ve had in a long time.

I wanted a modern cut, but unfortunately the young lad who cut my hair did the opposite. It’s too long on the sides and took way too much off the top. He was a nice lad though.

I’m usually pretty tolerant (hair grows back after all) but i’ve been wearing a cap for the past few days and probably will for the next few too.

If you’re after a short back and sides then this place is probably fine, but not if you want something a bit more modern and on trend then definitely not.

It can be tough to find a good hair stylist. Especially if you are new in a city. With this one, I was in luck. I have found it during my first days here and the look hooked me immediately: An old school barber shop, specialized in mal hair cuts and beard trimming. And the prices are about half as in Germany. Since I trim my beard myself I just went in for the hair cut and what can I say? For the first time in YEARS I am fully satisfied with my hair cut. Great job, great price, great...

Passed by this barber while on vacation and thought i'd give it a shot since I needed a haircut. Big mistake. Showed the barber a picture of the haircut I wanted and specifically told him not to cut it too short but he had ideas of his own and went "trigger happy" on my hair. Ended up with a haircut that was too short and did not resemble what I wanted. To top it all off, he sliced my neck while giving my a shave. Definitely would not...
