Maal’s — Restaurant in Lisbon

I had one of the worst customer service experiences at The Maal's. When we arrived, no one acknowledged us. A guy at the bar just stared until I spoke, only to be told the kitchen was closed, even though there were sandwiches right behind him. We then ordered a caipirinha with little alcohol, but it came completely full of it. When I asked for a new one, I was told it was too busy and that they were understaffed. After waiting for over 25 minutes, we simply left. The staff seemed disorganized and unsure of what they were doing. The place itself was a mess—they had to bring tables and chairs from other areas to seat people, which highlights a total lack of organization. The entire experience was terrible. I had a very disappointing experience at Maal's. The service was extremely slow we waited over [X minutes) just to get menus, and even longer for food. When the food arrived it was cold, undercooked, or not what was promised Staff seemed inattentive or overwhelmed, and no apology was offered. For the price, I expected much better quality and professionalism. Sadly, I won't be coming back, and I would not recommend this place unless major improvements are made.i think owner should change...

Excellent food and friendly service. I want to mention Maal's is on the second floor along the Tagus Marina walkway, which can be confusing, as there are also restaurants on the main level. Both dishes we ordered were tasty; I recommend especially the 1/2 frango á Maal's as great value and subtle spices. Served with salad and fries, bread, olives.
