Hotel Olissippo Oriente – Room 415
Unfortunately, my stay at the Olissippo Oriente Hotel was not very pleasant. I stayed in Room 415, which is located directly behind the elevator – and that was a major issue. The elevator noise was clearly audible, making it especially disturbing at night.
Additionally, there were ceiling lights near the windows that emitted a constant clicking sound. Even after switching off, the noise could be heard for over an hour. Combined with the elevator noise, this was extremely annoying and made it very difficult to sleep.
The bathroom also had several issues: the toilet seat was broken, the sink drain was clogged with hair, and the bathtub was also clogged – though I didn’t check why. The hairdryer was very weak and almost useless.
When I complained about these issues, I was simply told that nothing could be done. I was informed that this was the only available Junior Suite, the hotel was fully booked, and the only other option was the same room type on the second floor.
On the positive side, the hotel offers a good breakfast and has a great location. However, these advantages do not make up for the significant issues in the room. I would not stay here again. There is no recommendation from my side.

Read moreNot a 4 star hotel! Reasons; no individual toiletries in room, single ply toilet paper, no tissues, no face cloths, hand held shower in the tub, thin towels and small bath mat, no iron or ironing board (on request, but so few had to wait and then return asap!), hair dryer on short tether and hold to operate button, paper tooth mugs… seriously! Plastic floors in rooms, junior suite bedroom was like a prison cell, living area cold and uncomfortable with old furniture, two old TV’s operated with one remote! Very limited choice buffet breakfast, no table service for tea/coffee with long lines at dispensers, no toast machine! Long wait times to clear dirty plates from table, tables placed in front of active doorways. Saying that, the hotel was very clean, customer service and maintenance generally good, but everything is done with cost cutting in mind it makes the experience feel really cheap. No luxury here,...
Read moreOverall nice hotel in a good location for a visit in Lisbon. However there was a few things that were a let down. The facilities are good, the hotel room is clean and a big enough room and bathroom. The breakfast is good and plenty to choose from, there were plenty of spaces and we were able to go straight in every morning. The location is great, it is 3 stop away on the metro from the airport and a few minutes walk from the station. From the station you have access to everywhere. There is shopping centre opposite the station too with plenty of shops. Only downfall was the rooms are not soundproof. You can hear people in the next room having a conversation and can hear them having a shower and going to the toilet. Pillows are a little uncomfortable too but over fall...
