O Cubo — Restaurant in Lisbon

I love going for restuarant run by locals. Here the atmosphere just a typical local restuarant with no fnacyful setup. The waiters are very efficient though they may not understand english i just show the grilled fish that i wanted. The owner wife came to me n i showed her though she does not understand english.

The grill fish is awesome.grill at the correct way n not much of strong seasoning. If u can handle bones i would recommand this.

Ending my meal with a dessert.taste like custard cake intially i tot is brunt chessecake but its no.

It's true what other reviewers say....the owner is a gem. At end of our meal, he starts serving us shots of various liquers. Then a 2nd round. At the 3rd round, I had to refuse the Brazilian fire water. He laughed.

The food: my grilled swordfish was great; a perfect char with a lemony-salty flavor. And I'm a fish snob. We had a thin fried chicken which he called "empanada"; to us it was more like a schnitzel. It's perfectly done. Not on the menu so you need to ask about it.

A wonderful authentic Portuguese restaurant! Would highly recommend if you're looking for a local dining spot. 2 of us - we had the salmon and dorado- Both perfectly cooked (incredible!!) and came with plenty of sides (potatoes and salad). Inexpensive and delicious food. We also got bread and olives for the table with our drinks. Waiter also gave us local liquers to taste (on the house) after our meal. I will definitely go back when I visit Lisbon again. 10 out of...
