Read moreThree Days I’ll Never Forget After five weeks of travel, you would think every hotel would start to blur together. Not this one. My three days at the Four Seasons Hotel Ritz Lisbon will stay with me forever. It is one of those places that reminds you what true hospitality feels like, not grand for the sake of it but quietly elegant in all the right ways. The setting is beautiful, overlooking Eduardo VII Park and the rooftops of Lisbon. There is a sense of calm the moment you walk through the doors, as if the city has decided to give you a break. The interiors are polished without being fussy, with marble floors, art everywhere you look, and those flower arrangements. They are not just decoration, they are a statement, alive, fresh, and impossibly elegant. The service matched the setting. The front desk team were flawless, warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful. Every question was answered before it even became a problem. I never felt like just another guest. It is the kind of service that quietly restores your faith in how good people can be at what they do. The bar was being renovated while I was there, so I did not get to experience it fully until my last day when the doors finally opened again. It looked beautiful, understated and stylish, the kind of European elegance that whispers rather than shouts. And then there was the piano player. That simple touch transformed the atmosphere completely. Live piano drifting through the lobby in the afternoon made it feel like a scene from another time, and I found myself slowing down just to take it in. Some hotels impress you. This one stays with you. The Ritz Lisbon is not just a place to sleep. It is a reminder of how grace, service, and beauty can come together...
Read moreThe staff at the Four Seasons Hotels is one of the main things that makes their hotels so wonderful and we saw that at the Lisbon Four Seasons. ||From the moment you arrive you are greeted with a smile and the door is held open for you. The front desk staff and concierge team always welcomed us with a friendly smile and were very helpful, providing suggestions on sites to see and restaurant recommendations. Prior to our arrival we had booked a Four Seasons car to pick a family member up from the airport and when that family member was having a bit of trouble locating the driver the hotel staff assisted us very quickly and mere moments later all was well. ||The main floor of this hotel is quite large with a lot of seating and includes a lovely bar/lounge area to unwind and have a drink or a relaxing meal. The staff in the bar lounge are excellent. We enjoyed their club sandwiches and drinks.||We had a large king room with an adjoining living area and very large walk-in closet as well as a large outdoor balcony. The room decor was very nice and our room was made up on a timely basis each day. It was fun to discover little treats left by housekeeping such as cleaning clothes for our glasses and souvenir coasters. ||During our stay the hotel did not appear to be very busy but that was nice for us. The hotel is well located to subway transportation to get to the touristy sites if you don’t feel like walking too much although we generally walked. We also found that Ubers and taxis in Lisbon weren’t...
