Service is very good and friendly, the owner explained their dishes very well. Their grilled fish is fresh from the ocean but there’s no fishing boat on Sunday, so they don’t have grilled fish but only dry fish and deep fried fish on Monday.

They sock the dry cod fish in water for 24 hours so it can be less salty. The fish is very tender, moisture with some chewing texture. Mixed with minced garlic and spring onion, the flavour is so good 👍

The bread is super good quality👍 I like the texture very much.

Home-brewed wine is at very friendly price.

The all atmosphere is casual like home. I want to come back to try their fresh grilled fish soon.

Wound up wandering into this place for a late lunch and I’m very glad that I did. Everything was excellent, from the food to the service and the overall price of the experience.

Flavio is a super awesome guy, as he was able to help me understand what was available with all the patience in the world. The fried fish and rice I got had wonderful flavor, and the dessert afterwards was the perfect end to my meal.

Best part is, everything included in the photos was only 15 euros! An absolute deal considering that something of the same caliber would cost double at a more touristy restaurant. A wonderful way to spend my last day in Portugal, I’ll be sure to come back if I’m ever in...

Update: Our 2nd visit was as good as the first. We got our hands on those grilled sardines (cooked really well), pork fillets with a lovely sauce for the kids and desserts. Flavio and rest of the crew make a great hosts. The pricing is affordable which is ideal for families. Earlier post: Although there wasn’t grilled fish served on the day we went, we had white fish fillets with tomato rice. The portions were very comfortable served with fresh salad. It’s a family run restaurant and they make an effort to serve you well, Portuguese by heart. The food was delicious. It was lovely to see the husband and wife sit down for lunch as well.
