We had booked in good time and arrived as a couple 20min early for our Friday dinner reservation, and we were efficiently shown to the worst table next to the bathrooms in the empty restaurant; unfortunately, this happens often and it is so strange as restaurants obviously dislike late arrivals, so why punish early arrivers instead of benefitting us with the offer of a choice? Anyway, while the outside area is more spacy, the inside is so tightly decorated that I physically felt every guests bathroom visit with an elbow in the back, a bag in the neck, a kick to the chair, etc. The visual decoration is pleasant with large windows to the parliament and urban-like art and plants for decoration, but the acoustics are challenging especially with the cocktail mixing noise.
The service is informal, smily and friendly, and we accepted the recommendation of a couvert, a delicious amuse bouche with carrots and a choice of 4 plates to share, so we went for the octopus with fennel, which was absolutely extraordinary, and so was the duck with gnocchi, but after the mushrooms the last plate with piglet was just too much. While the food is very well priced, the wine list pushes the limits and symptomatically their Bourgogne at €55 was a stretch. With a shared dessert and cafés we paid €155, which is fair.
We will be back - and again early, but from now on we specify the number of our preferred table, which happens to be our...

This restaurant truly impressed us, and here are the highlights:
🌿 Ambience: The patio and dining area exude sophistication and charm. It feels like an upscale restaurant but with a relaxed, welcoming vibe.
👨👩👧 Family-friendly touches: We visited with our 2-year-old, and the staff were so thoughtful—they handed her colored pencils and paper to keep her entertained while we waited for our food. Such a small gesture, but it made a big difference.
🍽 Delicious food & generous portions: The dishes are perfect for sharing, and everything we ordered was outstanding. We had the bread appetizer, tomato rice, creamy pasta with caviar, and French fries. Each dish was flavorful, but the bread set and fries stood out as absolute must-tries.
💶 Excellent value for money: For 4 people, including drinks, our total bill was only €59. My mojito was just €9 (whereas similar cocktails elsewhere were averaging €12). For the quality and portions, this was a pleasant surprise.
👍 Great service: The staff were friendly, attentive, and spoke excellent English, making it very tourist-friendly.
✅ Highly recommended! Whether you’re visiting as a family, a couple, or with friends, this place offers a fantastic mix of atmosphere, delicious food, and...
Read moreupdate for dinner and after almost a year. It's 5 star now! The restaurant is amazing now. All the offered food well balanced and properly served. Octopus and shrimps are must have. Little bit slow on the dessert serving, but totally manageable thing. Only personal reco is to serve meals not according to them to be ready, but how they will work with your palate. But again O Jardim from now on my favourite spot to have nice dinner and make everyone happy.
New spot on the map of Santos brunches. We're now not talking about the main menu as it's another story yet to try. As it was said it was the first brunch of this place and it has it's positive and negative situation. Positive: -menu is well balanced and Instagram oriented (as all brunches these days) -ingridients are amazing, especially salmon and bread. Negative (more neutral): -staff needs to be in touch with the kitchen and stay focused for the whole period of service. I witnessed miscommunication several times. -poached eggs are basics for the breakfast if you don't perfect them you will lose audience.
All in all it's indeed a place to revisit especially when the brunches will become more common for the spot. I really enjoyed...
