We went to this place with high hopes because we liked it the day before when we were just in for a beer. It's very nice that the ingredients are stored in a fridge that is visible from the dining area. Fresh and good quality ingredients (meats, fish, desserts) are on display. One of the dishes in the picture is Picanha, which is advertised on the menu served with bean as a side, but the side dish is clearly not. By the way, as I looked at the dishes I took out of the kitchen, all of them were served with almost the same side dish. The steak was not bad, but the side dishes were noticeably not fresh. The fries, for example, were like heating them up in the microwave the next day. The other dish was pork, but it was very dry and not very tasty. Otherwise, the waiters were nice and polite, the place was sophisticated, the toilets nice and clean. Overall a good place and atmosphere, but the food was a disappointment, however prices are reasonable. The draught beer was refreshing and delicious. Another negative is that you can...
Read moreThe restaurant has a local vibe with a very welcoming service (maybe a bit to much since they try to sell you everything they have in the menu - starters, dessert and coffee).
You can sit outside in a small square next to the tram stop. I like that the place is easy going when it comes to arranging your table and preparing it for dinner. You can also have some beers and tapas there.
As appetizers, they offer olives and fatty-goat cheese with bread.
For main course, I had the “Bife con mohlo special” that it is a piece of tender beef with an egg on top of it and dip in the house-special sauce - a mix of red wine, milk and other species. The sauce was very tasty (although a bit fatty) and the beef was tender and juicy.
Finally, I had the “Leite crème” that is basically a sweeter crème brûlée.
The food is good (at least what I tried), but the service is checking on you constantly if you want something else and I felt as If they wanted to get...
Read moreWe were a company of six. We were all disappointed from the quality and taste of our food. First of all the "snacks" that they brought us without asking were of horrible quality and bland tasting, especially the fried vegetable nuggets were like frozen food reheated. They were around 10€. Because the menu didn't have anything worth eating, like the rest of the restaurants in lisbon, I ordered the tuna with the boiled potatoes and vegetables ( a clean meal ). The fish was salty and dry, the vegetables had no taste of their own. The food was worse than the food they serve at the hospital. At the end we were allowed to pay only with cash, which was not written anywhere or mentioned when we came in ( in English at least ). Our waiter knew some English and was friendly. The restaurant overall was clean.
As I am writing this review I am bloated from fish, boiled potatoes and...
