A Taste of Lebanon in Lisbon

As a Lebanese expat, discovering Olà Beirut in Lisbon was a delightful surprise. The moment I walked in, I felt a warm sense of home. The ambiance capture the essence of Beirut, and the staff’s hospitality is truly heartwarming.

The real highlight, however, is the food. Each dish is a masterful representation of authentic Lebanese cuisine. The flavors are vibrant, the spices perfectly balanced, and the quality exceptional. Every bite transports you back to Lebanon, whether it’s the mezze bursting with freshness or the succulent grilled meats.

Olà Beirut is more than just a restaurant; it’s a culinary journey to Lebanon. For anyone craving genuine Lebanese food or wanting to experience our rich culinary traditions, this place is an absolute must-visit. It’s a true gem in the heart of Portugal, offering a beautiful...

We had fattouch salad, labaneh, hummus, grilled halloumi and spicy potatoes all of them were really good, from the few places I have tried in Lisbon this one is definitely my favourite. The pita bread came warmed and properly baked, fattouch was amazing and we managed to finish everything just being two of us. For me the only downside was that they kept the main door open and we visited on a pretty cold night in January so it was a little bit chilly, but I also didn't ask to close it. Apart from that everything was very amazing! Also, we reserved in advance, since they have only a few tables inside - I would recommend to reserve in advance. The staff and the chef are...

We happened upon this family owned restaurant in a busy area of Lisbon and were beyond pleased we did. The food was all amazing and the staff, solicitous and generous. The beef sausage wrap, foul moudammas, hummus, and spicy potatoes were highlights. The fattoush was also delicious! We had a Lebanese beer and a glass of house white wine (delicious!) and they brought us complimentary Lebanese coffee to finish our wonderful meal. We could all tell this food was cooked and served with love and care, based on family traditions and passion for sharing these traditions with others. Indoor and outdoor seating available. A must stop for any Lisbon trip! Inexpensive...

I finally found authentic Lebanese food in Lisbon. I stumbled upon Óla Beirut wandering around Baixa-Chiado and decided to try it out. It’s a narrow restaurant with a lot of charm. I ordered a fattoush salad, kibbeh, and a chicken shawarma sandwich. The fattoush had a decent pommegranite glaze which is missing from the other “Lebanese” places I’ve been to. The shawarma has a rich garlic-mayo sauce (again, more authentic for me). Pricing is reasonable and service is generally speedy. Recommended if you’re in the area and in the mood for decent Lebanese food.

I really wanted to love this more than I did but we didn’t really feel very welcome, like us ordering food was an inconvenience (despite being the only people there in the middle of lunch). It was uncomfortable at times but then it was too late to leave. The unique elements of the food were nice but it did feel like there was a little something special missing, quite simple and basic and some of the ingredients on the menu were missing in the dishes we were presented. Gutted because I wanted to really enjoy it here but I wouldn’t return

We were heading to another Lebanese restaurant and we passed by this place and decided to try it instead. It turned out to be a great decision as I had one of the best Lebanese dishes in my many travels. My friend who barely eats any cuisine other than steak and fries loved it ! If you’re in town and craving a good taste of the Middle East this is the place and it was had a wonderful Lebanese chef and staff !
