I have lived my entire life in one of the most expensive cities in the world (San Francisco) and this place is more expensive than that and the service is shit. Here is a side by side comparison of the prices of my favorite healthy breakfast spot in San Francisco and the prices at this spot.
If you’re going to charge American prices, at least provide American customer service.
I ordered a coffee and a chia porridge. The waitress asked what kind of milk and since she asked after I said the porridge I thought she was talking about for the porridge. It turns out it was for the coffee. They did kindly make a coffee with regular milk for me which was nice. But when the check came I was still charged the extra for the almond milk. When I questioned this, the waitress said it was “my fault”.
I’m fine with that type of customer service if the prices are European prices. But for €20 for a coffee, juice, and chia porridge? I’d expect better customer service.
I don’t know how these places are getting away with charging this much. Considering the food, rent, and wages are a lower cost yet they are charging the same if not MORE than San Francisco? Make it make sense.

Read moreWow, I was so impressed with the food here, it was great. I got a filo type thing with ricotta cheese, spinach and mushrooms which was DELICIOUS. The coffee was also pretty good which isn't that easy to find in Lisbon. It also has great variety of vegetarian and vegan options which all looked delicious. The price range listed on Google is quite off though, I feel like it's more on the mid-range to expensive side — a coffee was €4.50 and it's the first time I've paid that much! (Normally max €3.80).
The café is quite lovely, it was plants and it's well designed which is always a plus. The service was fast and the staff were lovely and helpful. I'll note though that the tiny tables with stools are quite uncomfy to sit at, especially for someone tall like me.
The atmosphere on the other hand left a lot to be desired for me personally. The music was loud and so inappropriate for a morning café environment... but if you like loud music you could dance to at 8am over talking to your companions, then it's fine.
Also, laptops are not really welcome unless you sit at one of the tiny uncomfy tables, so...

The matcha tasted extremely fresh, which people unfortunately might not be used to, since there’s more of a “grassy” taste to it (the residue at the bottom of the cup also wasn’t purely powder, but seemed to be finely ground matcha). I ordered the latte with oat milk, and it was definitely one of the best ones I’ve ever had (sample size consists of places in San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, New York, and Tokyo). I can see how people might be dissatisfied given the pricing is on par with San Francisco, which is generally considered overpriced, so that may be the only reason to try something else. If you’re dead set on a matcha latte though, I would recommend trying it here.
Wifi is a bit slow/weak, though that could also be where I was sitting (near the entrance). I did see people on their laptops, so maybe it’s not too bad...
