Pak Grelha Halal restaurant (Piri piri chicken 🐔) — Restaurant in Lisbon

I can positively confirm that this restaurant is deserving of every single star in its 5-star rating!

This restaurant is near my apartment, so I had to check it out. My god…everything was tasty. I had the frango grelhado dinner, which included light fluffy basmati rice and fried potatoes and beer (or whatever other drink you want). But let’s talk about the chicken!

Succulent, finger-licking chicken, marinated to perfection, lightly seasoned crispy skin…the grill master is amazing.

The chicken is fresh, halal, organic. Deliciously meaty and juicy, from the breast to the wings to the thighs to the legs. The spices they use in the seasoning are addictive! I was eating the skin, sucking every gram of tender meat off the bones, and licking my fingers.

I kept thinking “this is the best grilled meat I’ve had in my life”, and I have a house in Greece…where grilled meats are everywhere. I wanted to call my parents back in the US as I was eating this to share my joy…but I was enjoying it too much to wipe my fingers and dial their number 🤷🏻‍♂️. Come to this place, you’ll understand!

The service was friendly, and I felt very welcome to my new city/neighborhood. I’m probably going to get fat as I plan to go down their menu and try a new thing every time. They have homemade hummus, curries, samosas, salads, and the list goes on…

Having reviewed nearly every halal restaurant in Lisbon, I can confidently say that PAK Grelha stands out as one of the best. The management and serving team are exceptionally professional and polite, ensuring top-notch service for every customer.

During our visit, we mistakenly ordered a BBQ dish, and without a single question, they graciously changed it for us. The serving staff, especially one particular kind server, made us feel truly valued. Meeting the owner was a highlight; he personally welcomed us and checked in multiple times about our food and service.

The experience was enhanced by the collaborative effort of the entire team, from the chef to the waitstaff, creating a wonderful dining experience. Ahhhhh and how can I forget the Biryani? Every friend of mine loved it so much that they packed some to take home for their families.

If you are traveling and missing the Pakistani food then this place will fulfill your craving. However, there was a wait time as they make the food fresh. We waited 30-40 mins for briyani, prawn curry, chicken curry. Order before hand to save the time. I was also a little disappointed on the temperature of the food. Considering the waiting, the food was not super hot (temperature wise). I expected the briyani to be steaming and curries to be served hot. It makes all the difference when rice is hot and you taste the freshness. No doubt the food was delicious and warm. I would order from here again if visiting Portugal again. Fyi, we drove 40-45, mins to get here and it was worth the drive to get amazing tasting Pakistani food without being disappointed. Considering there aren't that many options.
