Papo Cheio — Restaurant in Lisbon

Tourists: RIP OFF beware in this place at Papo Cheio Restauradores R. de São Pedro de Alcântara 15, Lisbon, Portugal by a waiter. The final bill written by hand by a waiter on a piece of small white paper showed the total bill charge for my lunch meal turned out to be about 9 euro dollars higher than the dishes ordered by me. It is an extremely emotionally unpleasant and unacceptable lunch dine-in experience encountered on Dec 08, 2022 at Papo Cheio Restauradores R. de São Pedro de Alcântara 15, Lisbon, Portugal. Unfortunatley I stepped into a random restaurant with a happy feeling for food without realizing that there is a trap waiting for me . I felt I was being cheated vulnerably and unexpectedly in a foriegn country. It is my first experience being cheated dishonestly in a restaurant in a foreign coutry. Such a deception applied by the waiter had completely deprived my pleasure and my trust on the waiter . Papo Cheio Restauradores R. de São Pedro de Alcântara 15, Lisbon, Portugal is definitely not a trustworthy place to dine in and a place which is full of traps running by a dishonest waiter . The terrible experience will never be forgotten and will be remembered for a long time. Never return to this unsafe restaurant to be served by this tricky...

Local spot to eat, food was nice but the beverages prices are a bit sus. There was menu for food with prices but not for drinks.

We were charged 3€ for a can of soft drink and 7€ for a 0.5l of casa vinho. i’ve been in Portugal 2 weeks now and never saw such exorbitant prices at places like these for drinks. Hard to not feel ripped off. I’m not sure if locals pay this kind of price for drinks when the food itself is cheap.

Authentic experience of Portuguese cuisine.

I came in as a solo traveler and immediately felt like home. The owner was super friendly and recommended me the best dishes. I went there twice. Once I had an octopus which tasted fresh and fun with a cheesecake to finish which was also fresh and well balanced. The coffee there is outstanding as well. Second time I had a steak with fries. I can say nothing bad about it apart maybe it was a bit too greasy.

Would definitely come back again it is a great place to have a late dinner.
