The Corner Irish Pub — Restaurant in Lisbon

Great vibe and the staff are very nice and accommodating, the host guy would be over to see if we wanted another drink as soon as we were finished the previous one. He was very polite. The atmosphere is good and we were always able to get a seat, we didn’t try the food. The TV’s are in good spots to be able to watch the game from anywhere in the pub. The only issue we had was one of the nights a rowdy stag party came in with some of the guys literally stumbling around and falling to the ground. One knocked over our drinks. The bouncer only came over to have a look after they had eventually already left, I thought it probably should have been handled sooner as it ruined what was a great vibe at the time. Went in last night and was charged an extortionate amount for 2 single spirits (uncompetitive with other bars on the street) and a bar maid told us to "go back to your own country" after we left never touching the drinks. After a reply on here from the owner (see below) we decided to take them up on the offer of a free drink of our choice. Upon entering, the cold barmaid, who had all the warmth of a frozen fish recognised us, to our surprise given that we'd been told she'd been fired,and after an interrogation and an angry phone call with her boss and the reiteration of the demand to return to our own country, due gave us 2 halves of awful lager which we supped and then left. Fantastic pub in Barrio Alto. Clubs and Fado joints surround this friendly outpost. The employees are not Irish but that's ok they have the friendly spirit to make everyone feel welcome. Plenty of sitting at the bar and some high tops. Soccer is always on the two big TV's inside and some good music is usually playing. Cocktails are simple but generous. Excellent whiskey selection, Jameson, tullamore dew, johnny among others. Guinness, Kilkenny, and several other Irish and American beers are on tap with a knowledgeable staff to serve you.
