Absolutely incredible spot in the heart of Alfama! 🌟 Padaria Doce Mila is everything you dream of when you imagine authentic Lisbon food. Every single morning the locals are there cooking up fresh food right in front of you — from perfectly made sandwiches to fresh coffee and, of course, the best pastel de nata right out of the oven. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with some of the nicest locals you’ll meet. The owners, Guedes and Mila, are absolutely amazing — they make you feel right at home and take pride in serving everything fresh and full of flavor. Even the fries are cooked fresh and delicious! I totally recommend Padaria Doce Mila — not only for the food, but for the experience. And the location couldn’t be better: right in the heart of the Alfama district, surrounded by charm and history. The owner does not speak any English, but is very nice. We managed to order but we got two instead of one tosta mixa. So the problem was too much food, because the tostas are huge! We had also ordered momos from the Nepalese next door (they share outdoor tables) so we were stuffed. Really nice Pastelaria, definitely recommend, the owner of the place is the nicest, really friendly. All of his pastries are delicious. And the terrace outside makes the all difference too to eat in a cosy settings. We are coming almost every morning...
