Fast, attentive and friendly service. They deserve a Michelin star for their sweet and sour pork and sweet and sour chicken. We ordered other dishes and nothing failed. You know you’re in the right place when the chilli oil is is more than just oil and is SPICY (like Asian spicy). We ordered so much (around 5 dishes plus 3 bowls of rice) we worried we wouldn’t be able to finish them, yet it only costed us €8 per person (don’t worry, we finished em all cause they were all so good!). This restaurant is the real definition of hidden gem. You access it through a winding road with a scatter of cafes and restaurant that are more popular among locals until you reach a junction that can only be accessed on foot. Take a flight of stairs down and you arrive at an unlikely neighbourhood with kids playing in the plaza, neighbours hanging their undies outside the apartment without a care and people watching a live football match on TV in an unassuming neighbourhood bar. On your right, hangs a lantern from the second floor of an apartment. That’s the clue. Enter building number 9, go up one floor, there you’ll discover a huge dining room full of locals enjoying the best Chinese food in Lisbon.

Great Chinese meal. I was referred to this place by my hotels front desk man. He told me a story about this place which I won’t go into but I walked 15 minutes, came up the stairs and saw a bunch of people eating. No one would find this place unless you’re a local, refereed or stumbled upon it. Marrow neighborhood street. The menu has enough good dishes not overwhelming like most Chinese restaurants around the world. Photos are provided and organized so it was easy for a foreigner to order. One waitress taking care of 20+ people and lady who may be the owner contributing. Nice photos of their customers all over the wall. They also have beer wine and pitcher of sangria looks really good. Had I not come by myself I’d have ordered five dishes and not just beer. Seriously the best Chinese in Lisbon!

The premises were very clean. I was quickly seated, and served. The waitress who attended me was very attentive and polite. The food: I ordered the number 20(sweet and sour tofu) and 52 (stir fry veggie noodles without egg). I was pleasantly surprised, the food was flavourful. The tofu was crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked on the inside. The noodles were perfect too, they weren’t over cooked. It lacked a tiny bit of salt but that’s easily fixed. The price: The portion sizes are very generous, they could easily be split between two people. I paid a total of €11.50 for my vegan meal. The verdict: Don’t expect this to be on gourmet restaurant level, the food here is like going to your friend’s house for dinner but it’s still very good.

What a find! My wife and daughter almost cried when I made my way into the doorway of a random building which looks a bit run down. We came down from the top ally which is dirty smelly with dug dealers on the corners and their children playing amongst them so not a good impression. This ally however becomes really cute as you decent with a few restaurant tucked away. However this chimes restaurant is anything but easy to find. Wheen it is closed it looks like a random house no signed what so ever! But soo nice, so casual and friendly. Great prices, great food. Just amazing. When we arrived there were only 3 other people eating which didn't make it easy for my wife and daughter to accept this as a good place. As the evening progressed it got busier and busier. Don't judge this book...
