Went to Paul’s as I always do before a flight. I buy a Dieppoise and a Palmier. This has been a ritual for over 20 years.
Today I did the same. And after I paid I took a disposable fork and knife and put it in my bag.
A woman at the counter put her hand in my bag, took it out, and said “no. It’s only for salad”.
I said excuse me? I have been eating here for 20+ years and never been charged for a disposable fork and knife. I use the knife to push the tuna back into the sandwich since they put it half outside (to make it look full…)

This place has great food, the best sandwiches compared to other nearby options. We had a delcious vegan sandwich with eggplant & hummus. I got the mozzarella sandwich which was delcious. I would agree with others the coffee is not good but no need to let it ruin your day. Many other reviews mention them being stressed and unorganized during rush hour; this was not my experience. Lastly, there was one comment about being upset they spoke Portguese; you are in Portugal, seems fair for them to speak their language...

Wait can be pretty long, both before and after ordering, so if you're looking for something quick to grab before your flight you should probably go somewhere else. And on that same note: if you do have some time to pass, there's better...
