Never had these before but these ovos-moles" (soft eggs) were delightful. It's like eating a soft wafer filled with semi-firm sweeten egg yolk custard with notes of salt. It is a delicate sweet and best to be savored slowly with tea or coffee.

I bought a box of 10 that had different shapes of the sweets. They travelled with me in over 10 hours of flight and transit. When I got home, it was kept in a ziploc. When I had them the next day, the taste was great and was not dried out.

The confectioner was bubbling with love when describing the ovos-moles to me.

Far from fresh... Don't buy it! I am eating the ovos moles 5 hours after they were bought in Lisbon airport and I've eat plenty of those to be able to distinguish the fresh from the off. Como é duro ter um câmbio tão desvalorizado, principalmente quando se compra coisas pequenas, é bem caro para o tempo que a lembrança da iguaria vai ficar na boca, mas vale muito a experiência, compre um ou dois, é daquelas coisas que valem a pena (pão duro que sou). A massa é tal qual hóstia, porém, por ficar em contato com recheio úmido lhe proporciona uma textura não tão delicada quanto aparenta e se espera ser, já o recheio é um creme de ovos, saboroso e cremoso (perfeito) tal qual nunca havia provado antes, a loja que visitei fica no aeroporto de Lisboa e é muito bonita,a atendente foi muito simpática, fica a dica, se encontrar uma dessa loja de rua, deve ser mais barato, conclusão, não morra sem provar.
