I am not one to leave low star reviews lightly, but this place really needs to get it's operation together. I was initially really excited to try it, as I've driven by a dozen times since it's opening. Service was frantic on our arrival around 8pm on a Monday. We hesitated to enter also because of the amount of screeching toddlers we encountered - great for families I guess, but not for a couple trying to enjoy a meal out. Our order was repeated and confirmed and still we were brought two starters we didn't order and one dish we ordered never arrived. The starter (we didn't order) came quickly but after, our tonkatsu ramen (pictured below, I couldn't even finish it...) arrived a painful 40 minutes later and was...in the words of Gordon Ramsay, "dreadful". The broth consisted of nothing much more than melted butter and maybe a bouillon cube. Ingredients were haphazard and the pork belly was lacking in any kind of flavor or careful preparation. Noodles were a mushy mess. Our server was very kind and gracious and apologized profusely, attempting to make right of the situation. He was clearly stressed by what was happening at back and front of house. We were told the usual staff was not working as it was Monday, which could be the cause of our unsatisfactory experience, but should not be an excuse. I would try again, but only towards the weekend and maybe at the opening of the dinner hour instead of peak. It also seems the 'ramen' is somewhat of an afterthought to what they may do very well which is Korean BBQ, so I'd recommend sticking to that side of the menu. Really a shame, as the concept, decor, location can all work in their favor. I hope they assess thoughtfully as owners of the business and do not resort to a defensive response here :)

Dec 23rd update: Yes. Got the flu from eating honda ramen fml. Please don’t respond to me saying your staff weren’t sick. They were sick 100% and one of them was wearing a mask and was the only one of five people wearing mask inside the kitchen. The front desk staff who barely understands English and Portuguese was sick 100%. I just hope other customers were okay. Please consider changing your work policy. Some less fortunate and more immune-compromised people could suffer more than I did. Had a very negative experience. The front desk staff and kitchen staff looked and sounded sick and were coughing when I went in. I already felt uncomfortable and I should have left respectfully. But I thought maybe they got the coughs from smoking and I have a pretty good immune system. Ramen wasn’t good compared to the original Honda which I had a positive experience in. I got super sick the same night and am still sick the next day. Partly it was my fault for not leaving. But you shouldn’t allow staff to work on food when they’re sick. Come on!! Common sense. Also this location gave me a fully cooked egg lol. Who gives ppl a fully cooked egg in their ramen without their permission… i looked at the other location’s food photo and now i just realized this location is the bad honda ramen.. go to the other one instead. Let this one die. Considering notifying the right authorities like a karen. July 2023: The owner replied saying the staff wore masks. Nope not their front desk and service staff. And only one person in the kitchen wore a mask which was the person cooking my food and coughing at the same time. The nasty issue is your staff were sick and came to work.

I recently had my very first ramen experience at Ramen Shack Lisboa, and it was nothing short of amazing! As a ramen newbie, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but this place exceeded all my hopes. The dish I ordered was a steaming bowl of pure perfection—rich, flavorful broth paired with perfectly cooked noodles and fresh, high-quality toppings. Every bite was a delight, and I could tell the ingredients were chosen with care. It’s no exaggeration to say this was one of the most delicious meals I’ve had in a while. Beyond the food, the atmosphere at Ramen Shack Lisboa really stood out. The cozy, welcoming vibe made it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. The decor had a cool, authentic touch that added to the experience without feeling overdone. It’s the kind of place where you can feel at ease whether you’re dining solo or with friends. The service was another highlight—friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm. The staff made me feel right at home, answering my questions about the menu with patience and enthusiasm. It’s clear they take pride in what they do, and it elevates the whole experience. If you’re a ramen lover or even just curious like I was, Ramen Shack Lisboa is a must-visit. The combination of top-notch food, great atmosphere, and excellent service makes it a standout spot in Lisbon. I’m already looking forward to my next bowl!
