Wonderful 🙂 very good food, relaxed atmosphere, great service! Really recommend it even if you must make a detour, but if you're in the area, don't miss 😉 Later edit after a second visit: it's great to see restaurants and people so passionate about the food they create and serve 🙂 we ate: octopus (polvo), perfectly cooked and presented, soft with just a hint of bite, with a great, balanced coriander-olive oil sauce Codfish (bacalhau), again perfectly cooked and flavourful, with a genius textures contrast of broa (corn bread) and vegetables Pork cheeks in wine-garlic sauce (bochechas do porco com molho vinho-alho), fork-tender, great taste And beef-steak with butter-cream herbs sauce (bife com molho de ervas), again tender, flavourful and even if it was cut it Portuguese style (thin cut) cooked rare so...

Absolute gem. Roasted Octopus was one of the best dishes of my life, Cod with Cornbread was delightful, Angus Burger was splendid, Steak with Herbs sauce as well - the quality of the dishes is world class. This all comes in reasonable prizing. There is also a spectacular selection of Belgian beers, and Bruno will be more than happy to help you choose something great from this long list. Bruno is a gentleman and a scholar, he was an amazing host and always approaches clients with a smile and cheerful attitude, yet he is not pressing and allows you to spend quality time at this place. I dont think you can do much better than Taverna Lusa, its a top top top tier place - I cant recommend it enough. Greetings from...

I first fell for this place because of its excellent, attentive service and wide variety of quality drink selections, which already make it a total (hidden, in my opinion) gem. Then I tried their FOOD?! Exquisite. I recommend the pork ribs (seriously, they’ll blow your mind) or the octopus. I’m usually only a regular to places out of laziness, because they’re close to me, but I always make a point to make the long haul across the city to come here. The food is not only amazing, but you’re given beyond a fair quantity and at a very decent price. Again, wide beverage selection as well and a lot of fun for beer aficionados. Check it out, I promise you’ll be in...

I’ve been in Lisbon 6 months now and I’m always back to this place. I think the food here deserves so much credit. The steak with mushroom sauce is usually my go-to. However I recently branched out and got the pork ribs OH MY GOD it was just just Devine. Also if you’re into Guinness it’s well worth a try here. Lastly the staff are incredibly welcoming. I’ll be back next week lol 🤍

During our two week stay in Lisbon we actually ate here twice as it was by far the best food we found in the area. The food isn't anything extra ordinarily complex but it is extremely tasty. The price is also very reasonable. Good service. The only very minor "complaint" was that they were playing the same jazz video both times we visited. Definitely recommend.
