After falling in love with The Folks Sé, we were excited to start our day exploring Belém with breakfast at their location there. Unfortunately, our experience did not live up to our expectations.
Although the opening time was listed as 8 AM and we arrived after 9, it took a long time for anyone to take our order (not just ours, but several other tables were left waiting as well). Oddly enough, some guests who arrived after us were served before us, both in terms of ordering and receiving their food. Read moreFolks in Belém was one of those rare experiences where everything just felt right. We ordered two flat whites—one with a light roast from Ethiopia and the other from Rwanda—and both were absolutely incredible. Bright, smooth, and beautifully pulled, they were a reminder of how good a flat white can be when it’s done with care.
We also shared the turkey focaccia sandwich, served warm and perfectly seasoned, and the granola yogurt, which had just the right amount of crunch and sweetness, topped with a beautifully caramelized banana. Everything tasted fresh, thoughtful, and balanced.
The service made the experience even better. Sasha was exceptional—genuine, kind, and went above and beyond. When our daughter accidentally left her wallet behind, he literally ran after us to return it. The whole team was warm and welcoming, and the vibe outside, with the view and relaxed pace, made the morning feel easy and memorable. I’ll...
