We stopped here based on our accommodation host’s recommendation and enjoyed it so much that we went two nights in a row! The restaurant seemed to be a popular spot among locals, and we were told they specialize in traditional Portuguese cuisine.

On the first night, we went all out and ordered the octopus rice, the steak cooked over a hot stone with salt and béarnaise sauce, and a skewer with cuttlefish, shrimp, and vegetables—everything was incredible. The next night, we tried turnip green soup, the shrimp and bread stew, the salmon of the day (topped with tomatoes, herbs, and onions), and the veal, all of which were also excellent.

The staff were direct yet warm and very friendly. At first, we felt a little intimidated since the place was filled with locals, but after settling in and interacting with the servers, we felt completely at home. I’d highly recommend ordering from the local plates menu. When we visited, it was only available in Portuguese, so using a phone to translate or asking a server for guidance is a great way to navigate the options.

We ate here toward the end of our two-week trip to Portugal, and it was such a memorable way to finish off our travels—with two fantastic dinners, great food, and welcoming service.

Highly...

It has potencial, but... Where do I start...

The olives that come for entrance,... Dry as raisins and not looking very healthy... Big NO... ... Sangria is sold as 500 ml jar and it fills just one glass of 250ml... ( Someone is doing maths wrong)... and... Call it something else but It's NOT sangria... That's y you can't go wrong with Super bock beer ( ordered it after rejecting the sangria...stuff...) The beer sauce steak was... Erm.... Ok?......... but nothing to write home about the sauce was TOO OILY so... Almost No flavour... (see the other comments ).

So.... You can do it better if you start tasting what you serve as you go...

Dessert?... No thankx :)

... For a Portuguese traditional restaurant... you pay way too much for what you get.. no quality at all... THAT MUST STOP.... I am Portuguese and I ate way better in smaller family cafes...

And please.... Attention to personal hygiene... Very important and people do notice right away... It's a restaurant... So why do u want me to skip a meal ?

You can change, you just need to get some methods...

Pretty mid restaurant. This was my first meal in Lisbon so can’t say too much to the flavours. My mums steak looked like it was poor quality The bread basket leaves much to be desired, nicer presentation or quality butter would make it stand out. I don’t exactly know what a whiskey pie is and if it’s supposed to be half frozen or not, but the flavour was nice. The white wine sangria was the highlight of the meal, very delicious. Our server was good for the majority of the meal, until we were finished and couldn’t find him for the bill. Waited 10 minutes and than flagged down a different...
