We had the absolute pleasure of dining at Turvo, and what an incredible experience it was! From the moment we stepped in, everything exuded warmth, charm, and genuine hospitality.
The food was absolutely fantastic – creative, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. Each dish told a story, blending local ingredients with a fresh, modern twist. You could feel the passion and thought behind every plate.
The service was equally impressive – attentive without being overbearing, friendly, and genuinely enthusiastic about the food and wine. What made the evening truly memorable was when the chef and owner personally came to our table to offer wine recommendations. His energy, kindness, and love for what he does are contagious, and it added such a personal, special touch to the experience.
Turvo has only been open for about three months, and while there are still a few small gaps here and there – to be expected with any new restaurant – they are more than made up for by the heart, effort, and quality you find in every corner of this place. You can tell it’s going to be something really special.
Highly recommend visiting while it’s still a hidden gem – Turvo is on its way to becoming one of Lisboa’s must-visit...

The staff? Genuinely lovely. The kind of people who make you feel like you’ve been coming there for years, even if it’s your first time. And with an open kitchen, you get dinner and a show minus the shouting you would see on Hell's Kitchen (unless Benfica is playing).
The food is wildly creative, you’ll find ingredients you can’t pronounce, and didn’t know you needed in your life. It’s not trying to be cool. It is cool. In that “oh wow, that works?” kind of way.
Best move? Bring two friends and order the entire menu. Then sit back, sip from a wine list that knows exactly what it’s doing, and let the night unfold.
Bonus: the chef switches the menu up so often, you’ll never be bored.
And the price? Let’s just say: it should cost more. But it doesn’t. Because the chef still cares about the neighborhood. Which is rare. And kind of heroic.
Turvo is a creative, generous, delicious little rebellion. I'll be visiting it every time I...
