Restaurante Harmonia — Restaurant in Lisbon

We were recommended to come here for lunch when checking in to the hotel and the room wasn’t ready yet. A little bit of a trek to get there (and many stairs…) and hidden in a residential area.

I ordered one of their daily specials, grilled cuttlefish. It came with potatoes and sautéed spinach (I think?). Also got the small Portuguese stew from their daily special menu. Cuttlefish were grilled nicely and were tender with a smokey flavour. The sides were nicely seasoned. The Portuguese stew was very good, big portion for the price! It was filled with pork, sausages, cabbage, potatoes and beans along with some rice. The rice was really good, full of porky flavour.

A side note, bread and olives are an additional cost; it’s not complimentary. Our server did let us know that they were additional costs and that if we didn’t want them, they would take it away.

A few years ago, I was organizing a business dinner in Lisbon for a group of 12 and needed a reliable spot. A friend highly recommended Harmonia, telling me he’d had many great experiences there—and he was absolutely right. That first visit was a success, and I’ve been coming back ever since, but for family moments as well.

The food is consistently amazing, with a diverse selection of dishes that are always prepared to perfection. The service is truly sublime, attentive, professional, and welcoming every single time. The prices are fair, especially considering the quality of the food, the high level of service, and the warm, inviting atmosphere.

Another big plus: the restaurant is wheelchair accessible, which makes it a great and inclusive option when dining with guests who have mobility needs. That kind of thoughtful accessibility just adds to the overall positive experience.

Harmonia continues to deliver on all fronts—business dinners, family celebrations, or casual meals. It’s a place I return to again and again, and it never disappoints. Highly recommended!

Há alguns anos, estava a organizar um jantar de negócios em Lisboa para um grupo de 12 pessoas e precisava de um restaurante de confiança. Um amigo recomendou-me o Harmonia, dizendo que já tinha tido várias experiências excelentes lá — e não podia ter acertado mais. Esse primeiro jantar foi um sucesso, e desde então tenho voltado vezes sem conta, não só para ocasiões profissionais, mas também para momentos em família.

A comida é sempre fantástica, com uma ótima seleção de pratos, bem confecionados e cheios de sabor. O serviço é irrepreensível — atencioso, profissional e sempre acolhedor. Os preços são justos, tendo em conta a qualidade da comida, do atendimento e, claro, do ambiente acolhedor e bem cuidado.

Outro ponto muito positivo: o restaurante é acessível a pessoas com mobilidade reduzida, incluindo utilizadores de cadeira de rodas, o que o torna uma excelente opção inclusiva para diferentes tipos de grupos.

O Harmonia continua a ser uma aposta segura, seja para jantares de negócios, encontros de família ou refeições descontraídas. É daqueles sítios que acerta em tudo, sempre....

Lovely wine , friendly staff - BAD COD

lovely cuts of meat and fish in the fridges in view - our hopes were up.

However we ordered the Bacalao - chefs speciality How can anyone destroy 2 amazing fillets of fish I have no idea - overcooked when the restaurant was not busy. COD both dry and rubbery - veg were ok but the disappointment of being served this fish destroyed in a town where this is renowned - sorry not sure where this restaurant stars have come from. The waitress know it wasn’t good and checked on us- they agreed to take 6euro off the bill - should not have asked us to pay at all. The star is for the waiting staff and...
