This restaurant is a hidden gem that locals often frequent, and I can confidently say that it has one of the best Shari in Lisbon. They genuinely use high-quality rice and vinegar for their Shari, and it's a delight to witness the superior quality of their short-grain rice. The menu here is more diverse, and their sushi follows a modern and Western-influenced approach, so don´t expect anything traditional. The fish they serve is incredibly fresh, and as a local, I can attest to seeing daily deliveries of fresh seafood.
While the restaurant primarily focuses on takeaways, there are a few chairs available outside if you prefer to dine in. The affordability of the food here is remarkable considering the quality, but due to its popularity, you may need to exercise some patience as it's a hot spot in Areeiro. I've also tasted other dishes apart from sushi, and they are equally satisfying. With a versatile menu and consistent quality, this restaurant is an excellent choicefor a...

It was perfect for a casual Japanese lunch and I was ordering once or twice a week. Now I hardly order there anymore.
The reason is simple: the place itself is not very nice. So if I'm paying almost 20 euros for takeout lunch/dinner there, I rather pay 25 and go to a more high end sushi place and enjoy a night out in a nice looking restaurant.
If you compare the prices between zap and high end a la carte sushi places you will realize the 6pieces of hossomaki there are only 50 cents cheaper than the hossomaki in the best places in town. With the delivery fee it becomes actually more expensive to eat at zap.
If you are ordering for a big group of people the price/cost is still good. But I wish they had more inexpensive options for those who want to eat on a...

I walked an hour from the old town to get here on my way to the airport. The tuna and salmon sashimi and nigiri slices were large and of high quality, and the incredibly inexpensive wine glass (1'50e) was filled to the brim. The service was immediate and polite, respecting asian high standards.
I ended up ordering takeaway in addition to eating at the terrace, for a meager price (27e) for two meals with drinks. The ambience of the restaurant with its plastic chairs and street corner cafe design doesn't quite match the high quality of the service and sushi, so for an elevated experience I'd recommend...
