Read moreFood is average and we were cheated on the bill. We were recommended here by the Marriott Concierge down the street. It seems most of their business comes from Marriott since a majority of the tables that night were from the hotel.
We were told the black pork secretros is the best but we had much better in Algarve of all places
We got the black pork mix grill, which on the menu has one price of 80 Euro and "2/3" ppl. To us, this meant for that price, it feeds 2 to 3 ppl. When the bill came, we were charged more for the "3 ppl portion", which was not explained to us up front. The waitress said the boss said it has to be charged that way.
In addition, we only ordered 3 things (the other two things being a water and sangria) and declined the bread basket they brought out but there was an additional item on the bill for 11 Euro. We could only assume it was for the self serve dessert, which the owner had initially said was on the house.
When we paid by credit card, there was an option to pay in USD or EUR. We always choose EUR to avoid the conversion fee but the waitress immediately chose USD without asking, which made our meal even more expensive.
The other customers from Marriott also had issues with their bills too.
Our meals at Timeout Market were MUCH better for a tiny fraction of the cost of this meal.

Read moreBeware. This restaurant brings you food that you have not ordered and then charges you for if you don't ask for it to be taken away. They give you no indication that it is not free. The food is also very salty. I asked for fish with no garlic and they charged me for a dish that was eight dollars more to take the garlic off. I do not recommend this place at all.
First of all, we did not eat everything. Second, the olives and butter were brought to the table right after we sat down, and we were told the bread was coming. We hadn't even looked at the menu to know that these items had a cost. In addition, the butter is a trilogy of butter, which is three and we were only brought two, but were charged for all three.
You were aware of the menu item I wanted as I pointed to the cod for €21. You took it upon yourself to give me the more expensive dish because I didn't want garlic. That dish was €29. It makes no sense to me whatsoever that you couldn't take garlic out of a €21 dish but you could take it out of a €29 dish.
Our hotel concierge is aware of our experience at your restaurant and our dissatisfaction with your deceptiveness. He is now questioning whether to send new customers to you.
It is obvious that you have taken advantage of out of towners and while this may not be the first time, I hope it...
