Restaurante Don Alfonso — Restaurant in Loulé

Nice food, average prices, menu pretty much the same as every other restaurant in the marina. The service was fast when taking order and bringing food but no body checked on us during the meal and we actually waited longer to get servers attention to ask for the bill than we had to wait for our food! Also felt like the objective was to get as many people into the space as possible the setting was cramped and tables were squashed on top of each other my companion sat first and then we had to push the table into her so as I could sit down and to leave I had to pull the table to me so she could get out and then push it back so I could get out ( both our seats were hitting the people at the tables behind us). The family at the table beside us could not get out either and the waiter had to lift their pushchair over another couple's table (while they were trying to eat) while they squeezed between 2 tables on tip toes to try make themselves fit without knocking the other diners or their food!! Maybe at a quieter time of day the experience would be 4 or 5 stars but based on my experience I'd rate it 3.5...

very slow service, the food was average at best, they brought the wrong food out... waste of money. Edited for response to owner: I have the bill for €125 and we left after 11PM. When I ordered I told the waitress that I had a dairy allergy and specified no butter, cream, cheese, etc. She brought the plate with a giant slab of butter on it. I said I can't eat this, she asked if she could just remove the butter and I said no I have an allergy as I told you. All of our plates were removed and the orders that were correct were brought back cold when the steak was remade. Perhaps your staff did not tell you. Then they would not have also told you that they dumped a bucket of water on two women sat beside us and gave them one napkin to share to dry themselves and their belongings. They seemed pretty upset to me. I promise they did not leave happy.

Going forward, I recommend you should speak with reviewers who have a bad experience to learn about their experience. That will demonstrate to future visitors that you care about your customers and continual...

We went on Saturday for dinner and was awful, we will never go back to the place. From outside the restaurant looks like really beautiful and high quality but once you get inside the things completly change. When we arrived the girl in the reception treated us really good and took us to our table with a smile. After that moment everything went wrong: We wait for around 10 minutes to get the menu, then took like another 10 minutes to the waitress to come to take the order, while taking the order the waitress asked about how cooked we wanted the meat although we asked for medium rare meat, she decided to ordered medium. Then we had to wait for more than 40 minutes until we could get the attention of one of the waitress because we didn't have our dishes yet, after that, one waiter took the food to us, it was cold and the meet well done instead medium rare or even medium. Nobody apologized and we left with our high expectations too low...
